How does a pop-up picnic work?

We style a picnic based on the preferences you share with us, so each one is unique to you. We’ll set up at your preferred location, greet you at your picnic (or remain contactless if preferred), then return to take it down once it’s over.

What food is included in a picnic?

We include one complimentary grazing box that feeds 2 people (choice of charcuterie or crudite), with the option to add on more at an additional fee.

What is not included in a picnic?

We do not include alcoholic beverages (unless your picnic is at a private property). It is our guests’ responsibility to check alcohol laws for any public space being used. We are not responsible for any alcohol consumption or penalties incurred.

What if I show up late or need to leave early?

We allow up to 20 minutes for arrival and ask for at least 20 minutes if you need to leave early, but we kindly ask to let us know if you for-see your timing changing. Please note that your picnic duration starts at the original time of reservation. If you are more than 30 minutes late for your reservation there will be an additional charge of $50 for every 30 minutes until your arrival.

Can I extend my picnic?

If you don’t want the fun to end you are welcome to connect with us and see if we are able to allow for extra time. Each additional 60 minutes added on to a picnic is $100.

What about inclement weather?

While rare, we sometimes have to move locations, due to weather. We will contact you in advance if we feel your reservation may be affected. There is no cancellation fee for rescheduling your picnic due to weather, however, we do not issue refunds for deposits or after final payment is received.

Are pets invited?

We are working on a special add-on for your four-legged companions! In the meantime, know that dogs are more than welcome, please just let us know if any pets will be joining at the picnic when booking as additional fees apply.

Can we have a picnic at our property?

Yes, this offers the ultimate privacy! Keep in mind we are exclusively servicing the Ojai Valley but we are happy to discuss other potential options (please note additional travel fees will apply).

What is the service charge for?

Please note that there is a 20% service charge applied to Add On’s. This fee covers the cost of coordinating with vendors, transportation, handling and setup to ensure that everything is delivered safely and on time.

How far in advance should I book?

We ask for at least one week’s notice to prepare the perfect picnic…and the more time you give us, the more options will be available to you. If you like to plan ahead, let us know! We can take bookings up to a year in advance.

Do you coordinate food and drinks?

We are happy to assist with coordinating placing orders, picking up and delivering any additional food or drinks items you request. Please note that there is a 20% service charge. This fee covers the cost of coordinating with vendors, transportation, handling and setup to ensure that everything is delivered safely and on time. Please note our alcohol policy.

Where can we set up?

We are happy to set up at a location of your choosing, as long as there is parking within 50 feet of the site. If you don’t have a location in mind, we would be happy to make a recommendation! Usually, we set up at private residences, wineries, and parks.

Will there be any site fees?

It will depend on the location selected, number of people and a couple of additional factors. If you request a special spot, we’ll let you know if that particular destination requires a permit or additional fee, and we can assist with this process.

What’s your cancellation policy?

A 50% deposit will be required at time of booking to guarantee your date and that deposit will be non-refundable within 30 days of your picnic. If you need to cancel your picnic due to inclement weather, your deposit can be applied towards a future picnic which must scheduled within 90 days of your original date. Full payment will be required 7 days prior to your event and will be non-refundable.

Do you travel outside of Ojai?

Our picnic offerings are designed to be enjoyed in the valley but if the spot you have in mind is located outside 93023, we are happy to discuss whether it can work as a potential option (please note additional travel fees will apply).

What if something were to get damaged?

We charge a replacement fee of up to half of the value of the item when purchased. The credit card on the reservation will be charged, and contact of reservation will be notified.

How late can my picnic can go to?

Our regular picnic end time is at sunset - any picnic that requests to extend past this time will be considered a custom curation and could incur additional fees.

Can I pay with a credit card?

We encourage direct transfers to avoid any additional transaction fees but are happy to enable the credit card payment option to make it more convenient.
